Pear tree – Beierschmitt

Zone 3 self-sterile: A Bartlett seedling, with better cold-resistance than its parent. The fruit is long-necked of medium size; yellow, thin-skinned, and extremely tender and melting. This pear has a mild, pleasing flavor and rates high in dessert quality. It keeps somewhat longer than Bartlett. The tree is fairly vigorous and productive, with some resistance to fire blight.
