This package includes 10 plum trees, which we suggest planting 5 feet (1.5 metres) apart. This will ensure a substantial hedge within a few years.

Planted at this distance, this package will cover 50 feet (15 metres). Therefore, if you have a a longer space to cover, you will need to purchase enough for your land – if you want a 150-foot hedge, you will need 3 packages, for example.

These plum trees are seedlings of Canada plum (Prunus nigra), that are growing nearby other plum trees.

Therefore, these trees are not necessarily Prunus nigra themselves, as their mother trees may have been pollinated by the other trees nearby; hence the seedling is a natural hybrid between Prunus nigra and a different plum cultivar.

This does not affect their flowering, but it might bring some variation in terms of their fruit (not necessarily a bad thing!)

The plum trees in this package are tall, with a big root system. It is possible to ship them, but we offer a discount for those who can come to pick them up at the nursery.

The regular price of this package is $190 ($19 per tree) but we will let them go for $140 for those who come to pick them up in Rawdon, Quebec.
