Who are we?
Welcome!
Grape vines are quite adaptable, but prefer rocky limestone soil. They need to be supported by either a fence or a trellis. In very cold areas, they are often pruned to produce double trunks. The young fruit bearing branches are put down under mulch for the winter. The cultivars we offer are very hardy, more than the usual wine grapes. Expect production to start in 3 to 4 years.

The berries of these cultivars are small, but very sweet. As with many other fruit and vegetables, the grapes develop more sugar to counteract cold in the fall. Most grapes are self fertile, but benefit from cross-pollination with another varieties. Space them 2 to 2.5 meters apart, between the plants and the rows.

The vines listed below are all 1 foot to 3 feet tall, they are sold for 15$ each

Kay Gray Grape KAY GRAY
SOLD OUT! sorry

A chance seedling discovered by the great American northern grape breeder Mr. Swenson. He discovered it, growing in his field, after having been away for a year due to sickness. It is a small green fruit that can withstand  minus  40°C  and is mildew resistant. Its flavor, according to some, depends on its environment. More than others, Kay Gray performs much better with a pollinator. (Zone 3)

Brianna grape BRIANNA
SOLD OUT! sorry

Hardy to -35 °C. Born from a selection of Kay Gray's hybrids. Large cluster weighing about 150g. Fruit are large (about 4g per fruit). Good for juice and table use. Mildiew resistant and highly flavorful!

Vigne Hogan HOGAN
Blue grape, extremely productive and very tasty.
Its taste is similar to the blue Ontarian Grape we buy at grocery stores. Early ripening variety: end of august. Was found here in Sainte-Julienne, on the old abandonned farm of Mr. Hogan,  a marchant who collected plants he discovered while traveling around the country. This grape was named in honour of him! (Zone 4)
TANGERINE
SOLD OUT! sorry
Green-Yellowish fruit to be eaten fresh, mid season harvest, with a touch of tangerine in its taste! Good variety to make juice. (Zone 4)
SURPRISE GRAPE ( no name) 10$
It  happens that we loose the name of our vines. Therefore, we have some "no name" varieties for sale at a discount price. As we only propagate quality varieties, it will give quality fruits. But we cannot tell you what type it will be! It is a surprise! We cannot guaranty hardiness in colder areas than zone 4, even if it can be hardier than that.
