1) What is my plant hardiness zone?
To know your plant hardiness zone,
click here and look at the
canadian plant hardiness map
2) Can I pick up my tree order in summer?
No. Our trees are sold bare rooted. In the summer they are not
dormant and growing. They are only available when dormant, in spring
right after the soil has thawed or in the fall once the leaves have
fallen
3)How long can my trees wait before I transplant them?
Idealy prepare the holes before picking them up, and transplant
as soon as possible. They can wait 2 or 3 days if left in the shade and
a bit more in a cold storage in the fall.
4) Why are your trees smaller than the ones bought in commercial
nurseries?
Our trees have a normal size for their age. Potted nursery
trees are boosted with chemicals. They are
like people living on fast food. Their root mass stays small in the
containers and these small roots have to supply food to trees that
are obese. There is usually a huge difference in the survival rate of
trees grown naturally and sold bare rooted compared to hyper fertilized
trees. The size of a young tree is secondary to the root mass/trunk size
ratio. A trunk with good sized roots
will not take long to perform much better than the others.
Commercial trees rarely live long in clay
because their rootstock is not adapted to clay. Our rootstock
is born from a seedling and has a strong
5) Can I get a discount if I buy large quantities?
Yes, for our native and forest trees, from 10 and over we will reduce
the price of each of them by
10$.
Yes for some lot specialy identified, see the
Deals page.
Not so for our grafted trees. Our nursery is
small, we sell ALL our trees every year. There is a lot of craftsmanship
involved, we take care of every tree, it takes time. Our prices are
already low, each tree will reward you with a lot of production...
6) Do I need a trailer to pick up my trees?
Oh no! Since our trees are sold bare rooted, they only occupy
1/20 of their usual space. Your order, even large, will fit in any
car
with the back seat down, and 3 or more years old might require that you
lower the passenger front seat.
7) Can I get my trees through the mail?
Yes, we can mail your order. Trees will be very well wrapped.
They will be shipped through
Canada Express Post or through DICOM Express. You have to pay the full amount of the order
one month before
we ship.
8) Can we visit the nursery and taste the fruit before selecting?
No, sorry. Probably in a few years, but our nursery is still to
young for that. We also have a very busy
schedule and can not welcome visitors most of the time, we are a small
team.

9) Do we have to add taxes to our order total?
No, our company is too small, we are still artisans,
so we do
not have the duty to manage taxes yet.
